Have any of you ever done 6/7? I always thought I'd be done competing in November, and be competing level 7 in March or so. Right? Apparently I'm wrong. Much to my suprise, the Intrasquad meet (mock meet) for level 7's is only two weeks away, and I'm severely lacking some skills. I have all of my floor tumbling, my music, but no routine what-so-ever. On beam I have my connection series, leap jump, turn, back handspring with a spot, mount, but no routine either. I have my full bar routine with a spot on the flyaway, and my vault, but I'm really starting to get worried! I really want to compete level 7, but I won't be ready if my coaches don't start making my routines!

The head coach told me that she'd tell the choreographer to help me make my routine soon, but nothing of that sort has been happening lately. My beam routine hasn't even started! She said I'm going to compete, but I want my routines! How do I ask her to make my routines, with out being rude or pushy?

I think you'll have to enlist your parents to talk to the head coach to get some sort of information about what they expect the timeline to be. Since your parents will presumably be paying for music and choreography (or at least some sort of private to get the routines) they can just ask in the context of getting more information about that. I would say if they've told you you're competing, those are pretty valid questions and not pushy.

We have to pay for the music, but nothing else, (it's quite expensive by it's self) and then the head coach tells the choreographer who's routine to make next.
