Hey so I’m a xcel silver gymnast and I’m thirteen and I know that I definetly have more than enough skills to move up a level or two. So on vault my skills are front handspring, round off, and round off half twist. On bars I can do a lip on high and low a clear hip cast above horizontal (almost cast handstand) and I rly want to train flyaways but never have been able to. On beam I have a back walkover series, 180 split jump, back and front tuck dismount and working back handsprings. On floor I have a round off back tuck, round off double back handsprings, front pike, almost round off back handspring back tuck. We are just abt to compete state, and then our uptrain season starts in april. Last year I was in my second year of rec and moved to team in the summer, and my coach had originally said that I could compete my first two meets silver then move to gold but that did not happen, to be fair though I don’t ask her abt it. I’m wondering though if platinum is a choice or if level 6 or 7 is also a choice. I have been doing gymnastics for two and a half years now. I’m wondering if switching gyms would also make a difference but I love the gym I’m at now I just don’t know if I should stay there bc I want to keep advancing quicker then I am. Thank u!
