Well, I can finally post about it. DD, 7, (level 4) has been working on her kip since the summer. We have gone thru many kip stages:
1) the first kip, bent armed, muscled up, incorrect glide/pike, repeatable only 1/10 of times (aka teaser kip);
2) the muscle-up strong arm kip, repeatable, but incorrect form;
3) the very repeatable bent arm kip...getting there
and finally,
a correct form, straight arm, great glide/pike, repeatable kip with matching Level 5 bars routine!!
I asked her why she has been getting a lot of coaches attention and guidance for her kip (and level 5 bars routine) at level 4, and she said, "Well, Mom, I'm also on TOPs!"
I am so proud of my girl for never giving up after 5, 457,000 times trying !
