Months ago (like 5-7 months ago), I injured my elbow while doing a back handspring. It hurt right when I jumped back onto my hands, and it kept hurting afterwards, but there were no visible signs of injury at all. There still aren't. No swelling, no bruising, no signs of injury on the outside, just pain on the inside. At first everyone thought it was just a sprain and that it would heal in 4-6 weeks, but after 4-6 weeks it was not healed. The pain was there if I tried to do anything on it. As a result I was instructed to do physical therapy. I have been doing the exercises at home, but it has not helping. I don't feel that my elbow is healing at all since I was instructed to do the exercises and I don't know exactly what injury it could be because it's unclear and there are no visible signs from the outside. I haven't been able to go back to gymnastics or do anything on it since, and it's not healing. It feels like I'm just going to have this mystery elbow injury forever if I don't find out what it is and find a solution for it that actually helps it heal. Does anyone have any idea what it could be, or what to do about it? Has anyone had an injury like this?
