Hey! I’m a BORED Xcel gymnast, and I wanted to ask a fun gymnastics question 🤸‍♀️💛

Yesterday at practice, my coach surprised us with a “mystery event rotation.” She didn’t tell us which event we were doing until we were already walking over to it. My whole group thought we were going to bars… and then she said beam.
Immediately, half our team died inside 😅

So it made me wonder:

Which event are you always mentally prepared for, and which one completely ruins your mood when your coach suddenly switches to it?

For me:
Most prepared: floor/Bars
Instant panic: beam lol

I’d love to hear your answers! 🤸‍♀️✨

Speaking as a coach:
I am ready to coach any level of tumbling at a moments notice. I could (and in fact have) give a quality coaching clinic on any particular aspect of tumbling right off the cuff with zero prep time.

On the other end of the spectrum, I have an unreasonable level of hate for men's high bar. On the list of things I despise most in the universe, high bar is right up there with Mitch McConnell and automated phone trees.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
