DD had her first meet this weekend. She won floor with a 9.60. She's excited, of course, we're pretty sure she should have started at a 9.5

Her routine
Forward Roll (as part of dance) A
ROBT A+A
Switch Leap B
Split Leap A
Tuck jump A
1.5 turn B
Front Pike B

Requirements
1.Two (2) separate Acro Flight Passes, each with a Minimum of 2 directly connected Acro Flight elements OR One (1) Acro Flight Pass with Two (2)directly connected Acro Flight elements AND One (1) separate/isolated"C" Salto.“
2.Two (2) Different Saltos (Isolated or in connection) One (1) must be a Minimum “B” (May be included in SR#1) ✅
3.Dance Passage – Minimum two (2) Different elements from Group 1(Leap / Jump / Hop) (directly or indirectly connected), one (1) of which is a Leap with a minimum 155° Cross or Side Split. ✅
4.Minimum “B” Turn on one (1) foot. ✅

She's missing the second directly connected acro flight pass. Anyone know why she still started at a 10?

They may have judged her accidentally as a Platinum. It happens.
At least it wasn't the reverse with them judging Platinums as Diamonds.

And, she could bypass the C Salto by doing something in combination with the Front Pike, like FHS-FP or FT-FP for example.

She's trying to make a connection pass with the front pike. At one point she was doing FP-RO, but her coach didn't like it, she's tried super hard to get the FHS-FP but can't seem to figure it out. Same with FT-FP. She doesn't 'have enough bounce' (in her words) to add a second salto out of a front tuck, or even a FHS.

Would she have time to add a third pass? Then she could keep the isolated FP. Like a ROBHS or FHS stepout RO?
Good luck.

Mine is competing Platinum again, but doesn't do acro on beam anymore (too many injuries). Plus, she's a senior, so it should be a fun season. She got her personal best Platinum beam score at the meet this past weekend with an 8.4 ... first no fall in over a year and her best ever full turn!

maybe she could a round off bt-bt connection? It's a little unusual but it would work.
Or maybe a front tuck step out-ROBT? I would have to read the rule book to make sure that one would work, but it is in the same pass, so It might.

She may have time to add a third pass... she's working with her coach on it. Best of luck to your gymnast this season!!

she was training a FP step out RO, but she wasn't overrotating the FP enough so her coach took it out
