Our gym in the PNW is overflowing with little boys! They had a small boys program before the pandemic and there are currently only 8 boys in levels 5-10. This season there were an unprecedented 24 boys in level 3 and I just heard that they invited 56 new boys to join the level 3 team this...
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum.
My son (8) has been in rec gymnastics for about a year now. He has been asking me since the Fall if he can try out for a competitive stream, so I recently reached out to a coach from a different gym which actually has a boys program and he agreed to have him...
Looking for Boy's Competitive Team Coaches (Pre-team- Level 10), as well as Girls (Pre-team- level 10) Coaches:
We are currently looking for dedicated coaches (female or male) who are looking for a family atmosphere and open to sharing and receiving knowledge from other coaches to continually...
My 6yo son loves gymnastics! He’s at an ASI right now doing rec 3x week for 1 hour each. How do I find a good gym for boys that will train him to be competitive? I played soccer as a kid… I know nothing about gymnastics or how to research a serious place for him. Dallas (Texas in general) is...
Hello
Are there many parents of boys on here form the UK?
My son is 6 and very keen to get onto a MAG squad. His current gym is a tumbling and team gym club and so we are hoping to move him.
Hi. New here. I have a 6 year old son whose been doing recreational gymnastics in coed classes for a few years now (minus covid times). I know very little about gymnastics, and even less about boys gymnastics. Currently he does floor, bar, beam, trampoline and springboard which I assume is...

With the new rules, our gym said they are doing something called modified optionals for boys team program

Does anyone have any more details regarding the modified optionals, is it similar to the compulsory levels...
Hi All - Wanted some input on how many hours the boys are doing and how long the sessions are.
My 10 year old was level 5 last year and did 3 hours 4x per week = 12 hours which worked out pretty well. He also did 2 hours 2x per week of TnT.
We moved and looking at the new Gyms, the options...
Hello there. I’m a first time poster, so please be gentle :) I’ve read threads and discussions on this site for about 2 months now and I like it, but it’s very much weighted to girls/womens gymnastics. Both of my sons are gymnasts, the older one a Level 9. Are there other discussion...
Hi All, (realised I posted this in the wrong forum, sorry!)
(TLDR: The Plan I created with the help of several coaches is attached and I'd appreciate any feedback on any imbalances! :) )
First post here but I've been lurking for 2 years or so now. My DS (6) has never been considered a gifted...
I typically coach girls gymnastics but I have recently been given a boys class! I am unsure of how to spot them because how you would typically spot a girl is kinda weird to spot a boy like that. If you guys have any tips for beginner boys or any good super beginner floor, bar and vault stations...
Normally job posts are not allowed in the regular forums... but in the interest of keeping a great boys program alive (this went out 47 minutes ago via email)...
Hi all, I have a jaianese friend who’s son is a gymnast. They moved to Berlin. She says that there is not a lot of possibilities for him to keep up at his level. The one place age found us a national training center that includes a German school. Usually they don’t take foreigners there. He...
Hi
I coach af family class. It is really fun and great exercise but not the least competitive. It is children (Boys and girls) age 6-12 with their parents and a relative large groupe (40 kids and 30 parents). We have 30 minutes warm up with fun games, acrobatics together etc. For the next hour...
My daughter has been training with both the girls and boys team at our gym because she likes all the events and enjoys being at the gym as much as possible. Anyone heard of any girls competing level 4 or 5 boys? She is six and knows all the routines already.
My 6 year old has been doing Gymnastics since he was 3 and really loves it his current gym is fairly relaxed and not really focused on refining specific skills. It's been a great outlet but I am planning on moving him to a place that has goals for learning and preparing for the next level of...
