I am seeking some fresh ideas on teaching the gainer dismount off the end of the beam (tuck or pike).

All tips/ Drills greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Our gym doesn't do a lot of drills for this skill. Usually the girls start doing them off a mat around the size of the beam with spot till they can do them without spot. Then they go to the beam usually covered with a beam pad and practice there with spot till they have it without spot. By then they can most likely do it by them self.

Gainers off the floor into a pit, if you have one.
Put a resi the height of the beam at the end - gainer off to back (like a 1/4 salto).
Gainer off the end of the beam to a resi - this works the height so by the time they do it without the resi, they're ready for the landing.
