...sending their 9yo into school with fully taped-up hands?

Breaking in his new grips has taken its toll, apparently...

Ohhhh, poor kid! That taping looks like it'll keep them safe and clean. Hope they heal quickly.

I've had to send my teenager to school before, more than once, with two bandaged wrists (from bad strap bar abrasions)!

I'm slightly surprised there hasn't been a guidance counsellor referral over it, or at least some gentle questions.

I definitely went to school like that 🥴

My love for uneven bars outweighed my fear of social criticism.

“Why are your hands taped up?”

I was homeschooled, so I didn't go to school like that. I did go everywhere else like that, though.

I don't think there are many kids in school who don't already know tbf. He's not above showing off in the playground 😂

My 7 year old son went to school with something similar all week due to two huge rips on each hand. He just decided to pretend he was a boxer for the week.

He loves showing off his new rips to his classmates and comparing his to the couple of girls in his class that do gymnastics.

No tape for us....more like "hey look at my awesome rips!" to all her friends at school.

She still has those friends, too.
