Pre-team (L1) does 2 in-house mock meets, L2 does 7 USAG meets, L3 does 8-9 USAG meets (one travel meet is often optional).

Our gym requires gymnasts to meet a certain amount of flexibility and strength goals before they advance to the next level each season, but if they move they compete.

Our state meet was held in a city that also has a large gym. Those family members cheered SO loudly for every girl on the team after every event, and it was really a distraction for some of our girls.

No, typically our girls will compete 5 but skip L6. ‍♀️ Our pre-team does L1, then we compete L2 and up. Our girls go into a L3 season with solid L3 skills (able to score 9 and up) most meets, but most don't have solid L4 skills until near the end of L3. My L3 daughter probably has all of her L4...

Writing a web scraper for gymnastics meet scores is totally normal, right? :D

During the meet season, our girls may work on some skills from the next level, but primarily they work on perfecting skills from the current level. For example, our L3s will sometimes, but not every practice, work on their kips on bars, double BHS on floor, and cartwheel on beam.

Every meet, good or bad. I have a lot of family who live far away, and they really enjoy seeing videos and pictures of her. Plus, I'm super proud.

A question came up recently - is there a record for the most number of 10s in a season or year? Especially in DP, even better in compulsories?
