Whooo, good luck! I remember being so nervous to put in an application to coach and everyone on here said to just do it. Been coaching for nearly two years and wouldn't change a thing. :)
It's so different in the US to NZ.
Here pretty much every person who is accepted to do tertiary study can get a student loan. The loan is interest free unless you move out of the country.
Parents very rarely pay for university here, I don't understand why they do in the States? Is it that...
I know a few people who do it and it sounds pretty full on. I think it's good as long as good form is kept though, otherwise I think the risk for injury is quite high.
Looks interesting though, I know here in NZ there's competitions and stuff which I think is cool.
Not sure if you mind or anything, but it shows your personal Facebook account with that video? As in your name, place you live, photos etc. Just thought I'd let you know in case you didn't want that stuff on it. :)
We have a similar set up for our family class that I've coached a few times. Honestly, I really don't like coaching that class because of the parents. The parents of the older kids are too full on and try to coach, which is a problem when they are having them do things wrong.
We really just try...
If schools in Australia go back at a similar time to New Zealand then you would've only been back a week or two.
I know when I was in high school the teachers really liked to pile the homework on during the first half of that first term. Going from a big summer break to school can be a bit of...
For the 5-7 year old class (and sometimes 8-12) we usually do either sharks and islands, dead ants or stuck in the mud. Dead ants is good for teaching them team work. I like stuck in the mud because we can use shapes so there's a gymnastics element to it.
I had a situation a couple of weeks ago with the girl (ages 8-10) were talking about there weight. One made a comment to another that she was so skinny and that she wished she was more like her and not fat. My heart was breaking for her because she isn't fat at all. She's a bit bigger than some...
There will always be people like unfortunately. In my experience it always seems to be people who never done gymnastics or whatever the thing is that seem to be the most judgemental. How they figured out it's whether it's easy or not without doing it is always beyond me. I've actually done both...
For our 5-7 year old classes there isn't too much conditioning per say (there's usually a bit at a station) but correct shapes is emphasised a lot. We always practice shapes; tuck, L, V, star shapes. Usually warm up is a tag game and if tug then they have to go into front support shape to be...
Holey moley in love with the first 3. What type of gymnast do you think you are on floor? Are you more into tumbling? Or do you like the dance? And if dance are you more into the expressive, dramatic type or more fast, quick kind of dance?
They're all pretty dramatic I think which I love...
Yaaaaaay! Congratulations, that's very exciting. They must have seen how dedicated and determined you were. :)
Also, I'm just guessing but since they changed the software or whatever I think you have to go into settings and make it so it says 'gymnast'. I could be wrong though
