Yes, I do agree that there are LOADS of parent run Instagram accounts of young gymnasts, even just 4-6 years old.
I would say a lot of them are just proud parents wanting to share how talented their little darling is.
If she is talented enough, people will find out about her. Instagram never...
I am sort of in the same situation as a gymnast, but only in the winter half of the year. I had gymnastics 3 days, hockey 3 days, debating one day, and also a school play 2-3 days each week. Burn out is real. She will say that she doesn't want to stop anything, but it is most likely because she...
I am a level 5/6 gymnast in Australia. In level 6, we need to do a flyway, or we start on 9.5 instead of 10.
Flyways have always been a skill that kind of scares me. I have no problem with backsaults or bars in general. The main problem for me is the idea of just chucking the skill for the...

I know I probably won't be helping much, but:
On the one hand, you want to give her the best chance possible. If they are giving her the option to start younger, that means that she has the possibility of getting into higher levels at a younger age, and then possibly national / olympic teams...
I 100% think that you should definitely not stop! Gym is your thing, and your happy place. I know how close I am to my teammates and coaches, they are all my gym sisters, and I'm sure it is the same for you. It sounds like the only reason you are stopping is because your parents don't want to...
It definitely is ok. It just means that in this specific year, no gymnasts happened to be that level. My gym has loads of level 4 and 5, and less level 8. Then, next year, we could end up with loads of level 6, and less level 4 (just an example). So no, not a bad sign for the gym, as the amount...
Put a box at the back of the bar, far enough away that you don't touch it with your legs in the cast or when you go out of the cast under the bar, and do a good clear hip and push away at the end, and you should land in a front support shape with your feet on the box. Now you are in the right...
I have felt like this before with my coach. I would say that it mostly depends on whether she is enjoying gym or not. If not moving up is making her feel like she's not good enough, which I imagine it would, then moving would probably be a good idea if u want to continue gym. But if she has good...
My coach has a drill for this where (on a trampoline/ tumble track) you do a seat drop, bounce back to feet, and straight away into a back handspring. It's a bit hard to explain, but works well!
At my gym, we have something called Rec Gym (short for recreational gymnastics). You can do it at any age but it doesn't require you to compete, and the coach lets you work at your own skill level. Im not in it, i compete lvl 5, but lots of the coaches and past gymnasts do it.
My sister goes to...
I have a friend who was level 10 and planning to go to the Commonwealth Games soon but didn't get in, so as a level 8 I honestly don't think you have much chance.
Just remember though, you are an amazing girl just to be in level 8. I believe in you and never give up on your dreams 💪💪💪
Aww, don't worry, I believe in you.
I feel like so many of us have been in that situation. Sometimes I feel like I'm really bad and I'll never get a skill, but then, a few days later, I feel more confident and willing to try.
Make sure you do talk to your coach. They might not even be aware of...
