Could it be that the bags were not handed out at state because they all compete at different times? Making it difficult for that particular parent to hand bags out. Not saying it's okay but maybe it's unavoidable to be handed out at practice.

I agree with this times a 1000! My DD had a rough lvl 4 yr. I can certainly understand the OP's mention of meets being so draining. Our problem was more age group though. Its a very tough age group, 9.225 would be good enough for 10th on beam. My DD missed placing by .05 3 times this year...

As a parent I say my nerves have gone up as dd has progressed through the lvls. Lvl 3 was rough and lvl 4 has its own challenges.

I live in Indy. Any hotel downtown is close to the covention center. Indy is one of the most walkable cities. Check out the Hyatt regency its super close and attached to the mall circle center. For something unique check out the crown plaza. It's in an old train station. Pretty cool

My view on homework is they should have none. If teachers can't teach the kids simple math and language in 7 hrs each day. then why would I as a parent be able to teach it in 1/2-hour a nite? I get projects. But homework is absurd.
