WAG Can't point my toes far!

Thanks, I'll try those but I don't think it will work; my ankles haven't budged in 5 years so far. Will this be a big problem for me as I get more advanced?

WAG Can't point my toes far!

Oh and I have been in gymnastics for about 5 years and here is a picture if it helps...

WAG Can't point my toes far!

I think there might be something wrong with my ankles because I can't point my toes in a line with my leg. It doesn't hurt at all when someone just pushes my feet down, even when it's as hard as the can but when I put my feet under the couch and try to straighten my legs it does a little. And...

WAG Level 2 Daughter Just can't get her stride circle

I remember hating that and the back of my leg would be bleeding by the end of practice. If she has trouble with that, tell her to put chalk on it before her turn.

    WAG How Many Leotards?

While we are on the leotards topic...does anyone know some good reasons to convince parents that I need more than ONE? And where I can get them relatively inexpensive? And if I get some online, what are the chances that it will actually fit well?

    WAG How Many Leotards?

I only have one and my parents won't buy me any more so I have to keep washing it all the time. But one of my team mates has too many to count...

    WAG Backbend kickover troubles!

Seriously?! I can't do a needle. But I have an okay scorpian. My coach says I have really nice kick overs and backwalkovers and I'm not extremely flexible, so I think you just need to keep practicing drills, as you said.

    WAG Healing Rips

Thanks so much, I'm going to try some of those things.

    WAG Backbend kickover troubles!

What?! Of course you can do it, but not with that attitude. I promise if you continue in gymnastics you will someday look back at this and laugh! But anyways, just try holding your bridge with your arms against a wall, and try to push your shoulders against it. Also, keep one leg up in the air...

    WAG soccer or gymnastics?

Quitting, not quoting And basically I'm just saying that you could do both if you really want, but if I was in your situation I would just stick with gymnastics. Even if you know you won't be an Olympian, gymnastics has so many benefits it's worth it. Sorry for the long rant! And I couldn't...

    WAG soccer or gymnastics?

Hi. I'm actually 14 and my parents have always given me the choice to quit gymnastics (which I would NEVER agree to) but told me I didn't really have a choice to quit soccer and some other sports. They say they always want me to be participating in a "team sport". And they won't listen when I...

    WAG Healing Rips

My good news is that I got my flyaway today! But then I went to work on kips and now I have a bad rip. It's pretty deep, like enough to bleed and I really want to keep practicing flyaways and kips (I'm so close!) but that's kinda hard to do. So what methods do you use for healing rips faster? I...

    WAG front handspring vault trouble

I think the board is usually about a foot away and my coaches mean that I pike as I'm going up into the handstand position.

    WAG front handspring vault trouble

I have the same problem! My coaches keep telling me that I pike after I jump and it's so frustrating. I always make it over but it's so slow and ugly. Part of my problem is that I'm 5"4 and there are a bunch of really little girls and my coach always has the board way too close the the vault...

    WAG Help with backbend kickover?

Well if it helps, I'm 5'4" and can do kick overs and walkovers just as well as the shorter girls, and right now I'm training them on beam. When I learned them, we would hold bridges and put one leg up in the air as far as you can while keeping it straight, and then held it there. We also did...
