Hi,
Can anyone suggest some exercises my daughter can do at home to help her get her leaps/split jumps to 180? I was looking at some videos on you tube but a lot of them require some gym equipment like a trampoline. I willing to buy some bungies and sliders. Thanks!
My daughters team has used Quatro for the last 3-4 years (xcel). The leos have been great, we have gone through 3 of them due to growing and one year we used a hand me down. The quality is very good, the rhinestones hold up and the shine on the fabric does not dull with washing either.
We...
Thankfully just severs for us. DD is 10 and has been dealing with it for about a year. The cheetah cups help, and it flairs and improves. But boy do those cheetah heel cups stink! She has 3 pair so I have a washing rotation going, but when she has a newer pair sometimes I have to help her...
Okay. My daughters are about a year old. She had an issue with her bars routine at competition because she felt like one of her grips wasn't doing its job. Another parent suggested it's time to get her a new pair.
Tough one right? I feel like LSU and Oklahoma's strength and consistency this year is hard to ignore so I think they will be in the final four.
I'm also cheering for MSU to make it through, but my prediction is going to be LSU, UCLA, Florida and Oklahoma in the final match up.
Yes I believe our finish time is late because our gym has boys, girls, and rec classses that all start to over lap in the afternoon and there just isn’t enough shared space.
Thank you. Your advice tracks very similar to what was said by the one coach I talked to.
I think we are going to reach out to other gyms and see if they will allow a meet and greet and her to watch first.
Yes, I realize there is so much sacrifice gymnasts make. I am trying to find the parental balance of when to push and when to let her be, but I sense a clock is ticking on opportunity. Thanks for the feedback.
This is good feedback, and the reason I feel like the clock is ticking. I read a thread on here about who is really getting selected for these cut NCAA teams and saw that many years at level 10 is where the advantage lies.
Her main coach is a total fan of xcel, not so much of JO so I already...
Hi,
I know this has been discussed over and over again but I would really appreciate any feedback or thought because I really want to make the right decision for my daughter.
My daughter is 10 years old and is finishing up her competition season for xcel gold right now. She has recently...
My 10 year olds, boy level 5, girl xcel gold, both finish at 9pm which I think it too late. Thankfully we live right around the corner from our gym and I can get them home, showered and in to bed relatively quickly. But its taxing on the whole family to be up that late.
