    WAG competing with a cast

When I was a level 9 I competed my state meet beam and floor with a cast and won beam. One of the judges said it was against the rules specifically but nothing was found in the book and I was allowed to petition to regionals. A lot of people may say it sounds foolish but I was careful with...

    WAG Injury update: elbow

I am hypermobile as well. My arm doesn't hyper extend as much anymore but my other one still does...so I guess it's not perfect :) I hope you have a good and healthy recovery with or without surgery!!

    WAG Injury update: elbow

This past march I dislocated my elbow and tore my ucl. I didn't have all that other stuff wrong with it obviously but, my doctors actually said "you don't really need that ligament for gymnastics". I thought it was super weird, but after 3 months of a lot of pt and VERY slowly coming back with...

    WAG Colleges and gymnastics teams

I guess one reason could be there are like ten times as many basketball and soccer players than gymnasts. If as many schools offered gymnastics as they did basketball or soccer, there wouldn't be enough people to fill all the spots on the teams, which I'm sure in the end would lead back to the...

WAG Most embarrassing/scariest moment during a meet

Scariest was probably when I sort of blacked out during my bail in L9 while competing and fell...ended up breaking my hand... Embarrassing would probably be all the way back in L4 when I really messed it up on bars and got a 5.7 And I'm sure there are plenty of funny ones:)

WAG Made the jump! But ended with broken elbow

So sorry:( sometimes ER docs can say it will take longer to get back than it actually will...I'm not a doctor or anything but just being the typical gymnast, I would see a specialist about it

WAG What do you guess- when is the point to quit for you/your child?

I did a year of seven right after level six and then another year after in seventh and eighth grade. When I was in L5 and whatnot I would look at the "big girls" and day I'll never get to those levels/do those skills, they look so hard and I well be to scared. But as I progressively moved...

    WAG What is this called?

We call it either a toe up, toe shoot, or uprise.

WAG Do you see the point in this?

I think that once you get it, it will be a really cool series. If you already have a salto series I would keep working this one, you never know, things like this sometimes just click! Sent from my SCH-I405 using ChalkBucket mobile app

Workout hairstyles that won't fall out?

I have medium-ish thick hair and mine stays in all practice in a high bun. Put it into ponytail while hair is upside down with tight hair binder (not scrunchie) then put another tight hairbinder in. Then do a loop bun and hold it with a hair binder. I use clips on both sides of my head, and the...
