We are OK with the cost but knowing a month in advance just make me feel better about it. Planning on her making it, instead of waiting might be the best idea
Something similar happened to my daughter this season. Unfortunately, it did not work out for us. The training suffered A LOT. She was working on bhs and this new group, that was labeled the same level, was working on handstands. It lead to no progress, losing strength, and becoming bored.
When does your gym typically tell parents if their child is moving from preteam to team? The new practice schedule starts in June and we pay a month in advance. So June is paid for in May. The cost is going to more than double so finding a week early will be tough.
I know nothing is happening...
How many hours does your level 3 practice per week? In my area it's 12 hours. Imo, that's ridiculous. 9 is reasonable but 4 hour practice after a full hour of school is a lot for a little kid.
Update
Overcame her fear and did it unassisted in class. After class she was able to write her name on the board. Up next is bhs. She has a nice spotted one but the journey to an unassisted one begins lol. She's so excited
Thanks. She has still been working on it. Although she is still a little nervous, she's doing it independently now. Of course, after checking 5 times nothing is behind her lol. After talking to her, it seemed like it was a confidence issue. She didn't think she could do it, even after everyone...
What are the best way to help overcome a mental block?
My daughter is young, 5, but is working on back walkover. She can and has done it without a spot but is terrified. She needs at least a finget on her to feel comfortable. She's at the point now she would even attempt it without a spot. Idk...
I agree with the comment above. Strength, coach ability, listening skills. My daughter is newly 5 and on preteam. She's been on preteam for over a year and the new girls can't do a handstand or pullover yet.
