When does your gym typically tell parents if their child is moving from preteam to team? The new practice schedule starts in June and we pay a month in advance. So June is paid for in May. The cost is going to more than double so finding a week early will be tough.

I know nothing is happening until after states. Do they make decisions quickly after states? Just trying to plan things out but a lot is dependent on this.

If you have to pay in May, they should be able to tell you in April.
I like the suggestion to start saving up now (when doing your May budget, plan for the increase so it doesn't seem like a 1 week notice).

Our gym is different than most. We don't have a "pre-team" per se. Our last level of rec serves as pre-team, too. We have our Championship meet in mid-March. In April, the girls who are interested in team are invited to try out team for the month without a change in fees. If they decide to continue with team, the next month they pay full price ($15 more).

If finding out that the cost doubles a week ahead of time is going to cause a financial strain start prepare now as of it will happen. Understand alot more costs are associated with team than training fees. With coaches fees etc. Each comp is around 200. If it's a financial strain now it will only get worse.
We are OK with the cost but knowing a month in advance just make me feel better about it. Planning on her making it, instead of waiting might be the best idea
