Next season i'm competing in xcel platinum however it is very easy for me and I already had almost all my skills upon beginning to train platinum. I can do a lot of way for advanced skills but they arent allowed. What level would I be in junior olympic levels?
this is what I can do/am training...
I don't desperately need to know this or anything, just want to know because I like knowing everything when it comes to gymnastics.
Do Junior Elite gymnasts compete a compulsory and an optional routine until they achieve the required compulsory score and then drop it? Is that right? Answers...
We have reached Junior year Slog. Son has done gymnastics since second grade, and was good enough to continue, but no superstar. I don’t really care about performance, but it gave him friends and a great sport out of school. Now that schools are back up, his group of 8 has declined to 4, and...
Not on the topic of leos, but just wanted to say congratulations to your daughter, she did amazing! Do you have any videos to share?
Why doesn't USAG post any videos of juniors, only the seniors?
Does anyone know if we are sending teams or individuals to Gymnix this year? I know there is atleast a dev camp before Gymnix (early march) and most likely a National Team Camp before that date- anyone have any intel?
Was just watching the U.S. Championships and it got me wondering what competitions come next after making the junior elite National Team? The Seniors have the Worlds coming up in October but what do the juniors have to look forward to? Where exactly, what major competition, will they be...
Definitely did not go the way we had hoped. Started on bars and I knew as soon as she started that this wasn't going to be a great meet. She ended with an AA of 46.050, she needed a 50.5 to advance. Luckily she will be able to try again in two weeks at the Biles meet in Texas.
I've been trying not to overshare on here too much lately but I just have to share some new skills that Lily got this week. She leaves in 2 weeks for her first ever camp (devo camp). She will be competing level 10 again next year (probably her last year doing JO) and will also be trying to...
Yesterday, my 11-year-old son's coach talked to him about doing Technical Sequences and competing as a Level 8 Junior Elite. My son is not always the best at explaining things, and I know my partner and I will have a chance to talk to the coach soon and ask him questions, but I'd love an...
What is the difference between A B and C at JO nationals? In other words how do they decide on these groupings?
You'll have to excuse me if this is a ridiculous question, I'm not American and it was my first year watching/following JO nationals.
Can someone explain what this means?
Our Gym has a list of teams up and it's like this.
Level 5 junior
Level 5 inter
Level 5 Senior
Level 6 junior
Level 6 inter
Level 6 Senior
My daughter said it has so,thing to do with ages but I have no clue??????
Would a Level 10 gymnast whose birthdate is October 2001 compete in the Junior division or the Senior division in 2017? I was under the impression that if they were turning 16 prior to 12-31-17 that they would have to compete all of 2017 as a senior. A gymnast recently competed at three meets...
So excited that the USA is sending a junior team to Gymnix. First time in years that they have done this.
Jordan Chiles
Gabby Perea
Deanne Soza
Maille O'Keefe
Russia, Romania, Great Britain, Japan, France and Belgium are also sending full teams. Should be a great meet.
I've had people ask me why its called that and I haven't been able to even make an educated guess. Can anyone tell me why its called that? Are there other sports that have a JO classification, too?
