Gymnasts 2 Pass Level 8 Floor

Most level 8 gymnasts usually do 3 passes I’ve noticed in their routines. Is there a specific reason for this besides to prep for level 9? Is there anyway you can have a level 8 routine with 2 passes, 10.0 SV, and no composition deductions? TIA!

Yes. They have to have 4 saltos, with at least 3 of them being B's.
B+B direct and B+A direct. The dance needs to have a minimum of 2 B’s + 1 A.

is it 3 saltos being Bs? My gyms level 8s competed RO BHS full and FT FP and started with 10s. The full and the FP are Bs, so that's only 2 B saltos..
