I'm trying to get my front pike for next season, but I need help with tips and drills! I have a good front tuck (most of the time) but I'm a bit worried about the pike. I have it fine on the tumble track but obviously I get a lot of extra height from it. I've heard stories about people doing it wrong and
getting hurt by getting the timing wrong but I really want to get it for next season so I can move up levels!

Are there any tips or drills that would be helpful?
I'd appreciate anything!!

If you can get the pike all the way around already, even if just on TT, I think the only way to get over this fear would be to put it on a mat in the pit. It's a much softer landing, and even if you were to land with straight legs at the wrong angle the mat would sink and absorb it for you. I competed a front pike for a few years as my side tumbling pass and I never got injured because of it. Just about learning when to open up and being confident!
