I am looking for acro skills for Xcel platinum. I am thinking of doing a round off, does anyone have any drills to learn how to put this on the beam?
Other options that don't include back handsprings?

Flight cartwheels for something a little easier! I have had my roundoff for a little over 2 years and the way I got mine was starting on low beam i did a few and when I was ready went to high beam, stacked up 8 inch mats till they reached the bottom of the beam did a few and removed them till I had my roundoff consistently!! If you try this, I hope it works for you!!

DD does a dive cartwheel. She said it was pretty easy to learn, and not very scary because she can see where her hands are going. I could ask her for tips on them if you're interested in learning them.

Honestly, the round off is a fairly easy skill to get in one practice, you just have to commit, after a few you'll start to see what it feels like. I recommend start by lowering the low beam with an 8incher underneath and work your way up, by cranking it up every few turns. Just be motivated to get the skill, and I'm sure you'll get it in no time. My gymnast was motivated to randomly get this skill last night, and got it in one practice, just told herself she wanted it.
