Hello y'all I have two questions about Excel gold requirements for beam:
1. Would this count as an acro skill

2. How could I do a side handstand as one of my acro skills? I am not flexible enough to step in/through. Is there another way to exit this skill and get credit for it?

Not sure about #1.
#2 - You could straddle down out of it or you could move one hand and turn your body so you could T-out to a lunge.

An acro skill I believe must pass through vertical for XG. This means that roll wouldn’t meet that requirement but someone else can correct me if I’m wrong. If you can do a side handstand I would recommend trying a cartwheel because that’s already halfway there! And in addition to this your second acro skill can be a normal handstand if your comfortable doing this forward versus sideways.

I plan to do a cartwheel but I am more confident/comfortable with a side handstand but I don't know how to come out of it

Only one acro needs to be vertical, I just don't know if this side roll counts as an acro

What does it look like on beam?
Can it be on floor routine too?
I don't know if it fulfills requirements for floor/beam, but you would kick up to a regular side handstand, then straddle down to a straddle hold (second part of a full straddle press handstand).

Here's what I'm talking about: - first drill in this video

You can of course do it on floor, I just don't know what requirements it meets.

Well, from what I know, a regular sidehand stand is actually required from my experience in gymnastics! I don't know what division are you or what level, but it is required on my part!

I mean, the only time I can think of it being required in competitions is Level and 4 side handstand dismounts on beam (level 4 with extra half turn). I believe you can use it to meet a requirement at other levels, but it's never explicitly required.

One skill must pass through vertical. A cartwheel would cover that. The other skill can be a forward roll, back shoulder roll, another cartwheel (either connected or with a different entrance or exit) or possibly a prone roll.
