Hello, would love advice!

My son loves gymnastics and being a gymnast—he was on the boys level 3 team for a year. During that time, the coach did make some of his teammates cry, carried one out of the gym twice, yelled at them, called them animals, and made threats that he would do the same to others. My husband expressed concerns on behalf of the parents. When the season ended, we decided to switch gyms. But the other gym won’t take my son because they say his previous coach said that my husband was a problem. It’s heart breaking that his own coach would blacklist him like that. It is a small world

im pretty sure you can report that behavior to the usag safety and response, I'm so sorry for your experience and truly hope your son can continue his sport

I would report the coach's behavior to safe sport and try to explain to the other gym what happened. When I coached, if we heard badly from another gym, we would give the parent(s)/child(ren) a chance to explain their side of things.
