I've managed to dodge it, but I happily made a donation. The timing was such that a friend was fundraising for an ALS Walk in honor of her beloved father. I tend to scoff at internet memes a little, but you can't argue with the success of this one.

I think it's to raise awareness for ALS. I just meant I don't have a problem with people just doing the ice challenge, because it still raises some awareness.
