If like me you're a gym mom to a perfectionist gymnast, but you can't keep paying the crazy prices for meet critique or other similar sites, I've found a great alternative and wanted to share!

It's called glow judge and it provides instant feedback on gymnastics videos. My daughter has been really working on her aerials at home, and it's been brilliant taking videos on the air track in her garden and receiving instant corrections and drills to work on. It's like having our own personal gymnastics coach that she can just keep progressing with. I also love the 'explain' button for her, because it explains the corrections in kid-friendly terms so she really understands!

It's so much cheaper than meet critique and I find sometimes it offers more useful results. I'd really recommend checking it out, we love it in our house! We have the pro subscription which allows her to upload as many videos as she likes, so she can keep checking in as she practices.

How much is the pro subscription? And what are the other subscription tiers? It seems I can’t see the prices until I have made an account.
you get a certain number of free credits when you make an account, so you get to have a go before you pay for anything (i can’t remember exactly how many free ones you get though!). it’s definitely worth getting the pro though, my daughter uploads so many videos it would cost a fortune on MC 🤦‍♀️

Looks like AI slop to me - especially if they are claiming to provide instant feedback.
it is AI powered but it’s a model they’ve made themselves that has access to all USAG and Xcel coaching and judging points so it’s definitely got value! my daughter has been using it in the garden to work her aerial, she has an attempt, gets feedback and then goes again and she’s progressed massively! the tips it gives are super specific so i definitely wouldn’t call it slop!

I am genuinely curious why someone wouldn't ask their coaches for this type of feedback instead of paying for it? No judgement whatsoever, truly curious. At our gym during meet season, deductions are discussed at every single practice with very specific feedback.
This is true but for us it’s when my daughters are playing around in the garden trying to get a new skill, it just allows them to get some feedback rather than blindly flailing around! I probably wouldn’t use it for meet routines (we do still occasionally use meet critique) but for helping them get a skill it’s great! Sometimes they don’t wanna wait for their next practice or the next time they get to work on that skill in the gym (they can be impatient) 😅! It for sure can’t replace a coach but we’ve found the tips are great and the drills are things they can really do at home which is exactly what they need
