Parents At what age should I leave my gymnast at gym?

I have to admit my DD wants me there every practice, she is 11. I do stop by every chance I get to watch "some" practice. I have 50 -50 custody with her mom and on days I wouldn't normally see her, it is nice to watch 45 minutes of practice and see her smiling face.

I leave my 5 year old pre-teamer. But I know his coach well because he’s one of the team coaches for my older boys. If I didn’t know him as well I probably wouldn’t have started leaving so quickly. Once kids hit team we aren’t allowed to stay anyway and many start team at 6.
