My daughter has her back walk over on a low beam and it looks amazing! We tried to get her to move it up to anotherr beam that had mats underneath it that was actually higher then the low beam she had been going on. She would just not go for it, was terrifed! Wanted to do it so bad, but her brain just would not let her calm down and go backward. She had a mock meet this Saturday and we really were hoping she could compete it because it looks amazing, and she wants to complete It too! What would be the best solution, do you think she could get in one practice? PS. She has a backup don't worry :) any answers would help!

I would advice just getting a spot in the first tries so she can let herself do the skill. It is possible that only with that her brain sees it is as the same thing as what she was doing before and relax.
With less than a week to go, I wouldn't rush it at all for competition, even less if she has a back up. Let her brain time to get confident and feel safe. Rushing now could mean a mental block that would be much harder to overcome.
