Hi everyone! I am new here and so thankful to have found this forum.

My daughter is a current Level 4 gymnast in Virginia, but we are relocating to the Baltimore, MD area soon. Does anyone know of any well known, competitive gyms within an hour of Baltimore?

Thanks so much!

Here are some:

Columbia Gymnastics-Columbia, Md
1st Class Gymnastics-Annapolis, Md
Docksiders Gymnastics-Millersville, Md

Hi, Welcome to CB! Good luck in your search for a new gym and especially in your move. If your name is accurate you have your hands (and house) full getting everyone settled. If you do a search for "new gym" you will find some threads about how to look for a new gym that may be very helpful. The short version is that the gym is a very important place for your child(ren) and finding it will take time. When you decide the area where you will live visit gyms within driving distance during the practice time for your gymnast and the levels above her (or him). When you have narrowed your search to a few that you like, take your gymnast in for a practice.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
