Bella's Mom

Last night's gym practice was phenomenal.

Bella is truly figuring out this mill circle. She is hitting more and more of them and it's nice to see it click for her.

She did her first unspotted backhandspring on the floor last night. I knew she could do it on the tramp. But her class was getting ready to do spotted BHS but Bella told her coach that she could do it on her own. And then she did.

Somehow, when I wasn't watching (and I stay for every practice), my child learned a chunk of the L3 beam routine. No idea when or that she could even retain a routine. But sure as shootin', she did her mount, V sit, plank, all the way through to the handstand. And it was nicely done too.

Just a great night to watch her last night.

Gotta love good practices like that! It really helps boost their confidence. My dd's just happy to be tumbling again, after 8 weeks off! I'm glad you were there to see most of it, too. It really helps, especially when they come running out and say, did you see me?? ;)

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
