I've used single buckle grips for a long time, and sadly, it's come to that time where they are just too old and worn to continue using safely. My coach told me that I could get double buckle grips to replace them, but I didn't need to, and could get single buckle if I wanted to.

Is there any sort of an advantage to the double buckle grips? Because if not, I'd rather just get the single buckles, which I'm used to now.

My DD likes the double buckle grips she says they stay put better than the velcro or the single buckle especially now doing the "big" optional level moves but you do nee the extra long wrist bands.
She will only use the double now.

I prefer the double buckle, because I have heard that the single buckle grips slide around on your wrist more than the double buckle's do. I have never actually tried them, I have only had velcro and double buckle. But double buckle's even look like they would stay put better than the single ones. But yes, as cher062 said, you will need longer wristbands.

Thanks so much! I think I'm gonna order the double buckle grips, because now that we are starting release drills, I can't STAND my grips being too loose! And the wristbands are no problem, I already have the long thicker kind from level 7, when I started giants in straps. (Now I just need to find them...) Thanks! :D

I think you will find the double buckles a good fit for the upper level stuff.
