I'm having a lot of trouble with a consistent cartwheel on beam. Some of it is that I get scared, but most of the time I'm not sure why I fall off. I get my first foot on but then fall right off.
I really want to get this consistent so I can move onto double cartwheels for platinum next year. (I'm xcel gold right now)
Competitions are coming up soon, and I have a back injury so can't compete back walkovers right now. I've tried backward rolls but my coaches don't really know much about them and it's hard for them to teach me.
How do I get better at cartwheels on beam? Anything I can do other than doing them over and over?
Any help would be super appreciated!

If you are getting your first foot on, then falling off to the side immediately you are most likely not kicking through handstand (depending on which side you fall on). If you are kicking through handstand, then your back leg is not dropping strictly behind you. Then there is the issue of not spotting the foot placement (looking under the arm) and keeping your chest inside (hollow).
There are many factors that play a role into this.

Hope this helps out, if you have any further questions please reach out. I may have a delay in responding to your questions, I recently started streaming again on twitch to build a community.
