I am new to this board so this may have already been answered. My daughter is a Level 2 working on Level 3 skills. She has an aversion to chalk. Is she gonna hurt her hands?? I have noticed she is the only one who has not gotten "rips" in her training group and is very proud of her callouses. She does not use grips (her coach says no grips til kips). She says she feels more secure not using chalk.
Mine hated chalk, even with grips. She managed to get to about L6 using just what was left on the bars. Your dd will adapt along the way, no point nagging about something you cannot control.
DO not let callouses build up too much as they can rip off and that is a bit nasty. Give them a scrub with a pumice weekly so they do not get too thick.
