My 6yo daughter would like a pair of Nike Pro shorts to protect her hips on bars. I ordered the size corresponding to the kids size chart, but the shorts seem to be pretty long. This is fine with me (nothing wrong with modesty!) but she says they “don’t look right” (I.e., how they do on the big girls whom she is presumably trying to emulate). Do the big girls do something to prep them, like cut them or fold them over? Or are the inseams cut longer (or simply the same) for kids, even though the little kids are much shorter?

Thanks for the intel!

Nope! We just wear them as is and because our legs are longer and sometimes our thighs are thicker (with muscle and puberty and all that) they look smaller. I would just tell her that the shorts are fine and being a bit more modest can actually be a good thing. Hope this helped :D

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
