Women Changing Bar Settings?

Is it common to have a gymnast practice on different bar settings based on who is in the practice group that day? My daughter is just putting her giants on the bar set and she’s only comfortable doing them on the wider setting, but it seems like about half the time she has to go on the closer setting because there are less girls who use that setting and my daughter is considered short enough to go on the closer setting. She says it’s hard to get the giants in her muscle memory when she’s constantly switching settings and going on the closer setting also affects the feeling of her KCH and flyaway (if not doing the giants). I’m just curious if this is common in other gyms.

That’s not normal at our gym, we have two settings for optionals, FIG and wide and girls are often grouped more by bar setting vs level. I can see how that would be frustrating.

This year for the first time our entire level 10 team of ~10 girls are all on wide, it’s going to make bar warmups at meets so much less stressful. lol

And no worries about the coaches forgetting to change the setting back for the ones who warmed up first (on the last setting the team before used), then the other setting girls warmed up and competed. Then the first set of girls went, but the coaches forgot to change the settings back.
