Women College gymnastics

So, i'm not american and i don't know anything about college gymnastics. I read the term D1 teams, but what are the other levels (if there are any) and how are they different?

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rates the schools by their size and call the highest level schools D1, the next lower rating is D2 and the lowest is D3. Some schools have a separate program, kind of like USAG JO. Anyone that is in collage and wants to do Gymnastics can join this group. The NCAA program is regulated by NCAA and is the program that gives scholarships.
