When you saw a girl "Wow, she is going to go far"? Long story short, a girl that was in my 11 year old son's class in 1st grade and on his soccer team as well, was just getting ready to compete in gymnastics. Mom and I were acquaintances, would see each other now and then. I distinctly remember at the pool one summer when the kids were 6, watching the little girl do press hand stands, one after another, with little to no effort. Right then and there I knew she was going to go far. Well we moved, I haven't spoken to mom in years. Just for the heck of it I looked up the little girl's name on meet scores. Yeah, little girl, who is now 11 like my son, is competing level 9 and rocking it. First in her age group, 13 and under, with a 37+. So proud of her and not a bit surprised. Nice to know that my instincts were right on her.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
