Don't you love competitions when....

Well, i had a competition and it has come close to the worst competitions i have been in and im not talking about how i placed.

Vault, didn't even land on a hard landing it was onto a mat into the pit.....ew

Judging, i know that there is going to be a reaction to this but the judging was shocking like a girl who did a very very average routine got a 14 and then a girl on our team got a 13:8 and let me tell you it was a great routine and the girl with the fourteen practically landed on her head for her round off flic.

Injuries, 1 person did a very scary looking back tuck rolling into the audience lucky she didn't actually injury herself, another girl did something funny to her ankle and couldn't get off the ground, another girl stacked her vault and some how ended up under the table, sigh, just not a very good comp at all

oh and score holder uppers showed wrong scores

My DD was at a meet where the vault landing was onto a mat in the pit also! That was the 1 and only time this past season that she actually had the highest vault score! LOL!

Was this a sanctioned competition? If it was a sanctioned competition then they are required to provide correct equipment and qualified judges. If it is just a non sanctioned competition held in a gym club then I'm sure they did the best they can.

Sometimes the non spectacular routines are in fact the best and do deserve the highest scores. Sometimes the spectacular ones are filled with deductions that you might not notice.

Usually its just kids holding up the scores, they may get it wrong from time to time.
