My daughter went for her follow up MRI for the small OCD lesion on the trochlea side of her elbow and unfortunately the results were not what we (or the dr) expected. The OCD lesion/defect did not improve at all and in fact may have gotten slightly larger.
Sh's been on "rest" off and on since January and even when she was not resting, she wasn't full go. So I think the next step is surgery. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise after all the research I've done and posts from people on CB. But I was holding on hope that since her OCD was on a different part of the elbow compared to where most gymnasts see it, that she might be an exception to surgery.
