What are the highest skills you've seen competed at competitions for Xcel diamond? preferably on each event, this is my first year Xcel diamond and I want to know what the competition is like, especially the higher end athletes.

Here are some of the things I've seen in Diamond the last 2-3 years.

Vault: Handspring on 1/1 Off was most popular, with some 1/1 on-1/2 off, a couple Tsuk - Back Tuck, a Yurchenko - 1/1, and a Yurchenko - Back Tuck.

Bars: Lots of Giants and CH-Handstand, giant 1/2, Toe on hecht, 1/2 pirouettes, 1/1 pirouettes, Straddle cuts, Uprises, straddle backs, Flyaway 1/2, Flyaway 1/1, one double back, and one toe on front dismount.

Beam: BWO-BHS, CW-RO, RO-BHS, FWO-FHS, Valdez, Back Tuck (1), Aerial (1), lots of switch leaps, split jump 1/2, cat leap 1/1, wolf 1/2, and straight jump 1/1, one switch side, one straddle 1/2, and on tuck 1/1, Arabian dismount, back layout 1/1, gainer layout 1/1, and a gainer tuck off the end of the beam.

Floor: ROBHS-Full, FT-FP, FT-FT, FT-FLO, FP-FLO, FT-Front 1/1, RO-BHS-Whip-Lay, and one RO-Whip 1/2-Front 1/1, Split jump 1/1, Switch side, Straddle 1/1, wolf jump 1/1, Shush, Shush 1/1, 2/1 turn, 3/2 turn w/ leg @ horizontal, and one 3/1 turn.

Also worth noting higher end diamonds at the top tier would probably now do sapphire versus diamond so overall the highest skill level you’ll mostly see in solid level 7-8 skills from what I’ve heard from teammates.

Is there an inherent difference in scoring? Are higher difficulty routines scored higher? Asking because I'm doing the bare minimums of diamond (low bar clearhip, high bar clearhip to flyaway, CW - RO - tuck on beam, RO layout and FHS-FT on floor, and 1/2 on 1/2 off on vault)

Higher difficulty as in higher SV

There is no bonus until Sapphire ... where basic SV is 9.60 with up to 0.40 bonus.

I believe you need a B salto on floor unless I'm mistaken so you'd be starting at a 9.5
