Women Front layout front tuck

It kind of depends on the technique you are using. If your fornt layout is more like a forward whip, your arms should be coming kind of up and around for the throw into the front tuck. You will definitely need to use your arms-especially if you wnat to upgrade the tuck. I would suggest asking your coach for clarification.

So, I can't see actually trying to train FLO-FT without the arms rising in the connection, but I CAN imagine an athlete bringing her arms up too much or too early, and telling her to try to do the whole thing with the arms down.

I feel like something is being lost in the translation here

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
