After my states competition in april, i decided to take a break from gymnastics. Im going back pretty soon and I'm both excited and nervous. I already know I have to be patient with myself to get some of my skills back to how they were before my break. but, I can put a lot of pressure on myself. please wish me luck for going back! :)

I did the same thing! I took a break when my high school season was over, which was at the end of Feb. I restarted at the beginning of July. The first few practices I was a little sore and frusturated with myself for not being able to do all of my skills that I could before hand, but soon got them back. After about 4 or 5 practices, I was back in the swing of things and progressing normally. For me, the hardest skills to get back were those on beam, especially my back hangspring, which I was close to before I quit. I also put pressure on myself, but that just gives you more motivation to get everything! Good luck!

well good luck but all you have to do is start with your smaller skills then you will just get back into it

Good Luck! As a mom, I definitely have to emphasize patience and a little caution. With our daughter we had her start initially with some conditioning and then some event specific conditioning and then let her coaches help her progress from there.
