Parents Great Second year so far*1st Brag*

Well last year I posted about my DD being upset about having to repeat level 4 again this year. She had an okay 1st year, one of the better ones in her group. Her highest score was 35.25. All the girls in her group are repeating. Well they have been amazing!

This is my first time every bragging. She has scored 36.?, 37. ? and this last meet was a 38.35. Truly amazing, but then again it is her second year.

Awesome!!! What a great choice you all made. My dd was heading toward repeating level 4 as well. We knew she would have to spend 2 years as a four. Her coach gave her the decision to repeat 3 and work on 4 skills. Stop competiting 4 and work on 4 skills and compete it next year. She chose to repeat 3 and work on 4 skills. She did good last year. but needs more time on 4. We go to her first meet this Sunday. Hoping for improvement over last year. Oh and her 4 skills have come a long way since Nov. But she is competeting 3 this weekend.

Congratualations! I think repeating level 4 can be a big confidence boost. My ds did a second level of level 4 last year and has started out strong in level 5 this year doing as well or better than many of the second-year level 5s. I'm really glad he did the second year of level 4.

Wow great AA scores, sometimes repeating is just what they need. my youngest is repeating and she has already shown an improvement over last year and we have only had one meet.

38.35 is incredible!! And it sounds like she's consistent as well!! Good on her.

I think not only did daughter repeating level 4 helped her confidence but she has been doing well in her first year as a 5. It almost put her ahead a year because she started out with all her skills for level 5 at the begining of the season. Now even though she is a competeing level 5 they are working on skills for 6, she just got her flyaway and her backwalkover on the beam.

That is awesome!! What amazing scores. I know that my DD is now very happy with the decision to change gyms and repeat level 4. She is uptraining level 5/6 skills and still getting to have success at meets. It has been great for her, too. She starts spring season soon, but I am not thinking it will be much different from fall. They haven't worked routines much, have been uptraining a lot and she is loving that part. I think she will still have a good season, but scorewise will be the same as fall.

Definitely brag worthy meet scores! So glad she is having such a great season and that you know it was the right one.

That is great news! The higher AA scores really seem to boost self esteem!

I am so happy to hear that. Does she get to uptrain her L5 skills too? My DD is a 2nd year L8 and if she gets done with routines she gets to work her L9 skills. she loves that!
