Grips

So I was wondering what level you guys got grips or what level you think most gymnasts should get grips.

In the UK we dont use levels like you, but i got my grips probably too early before i could kip, but i think is usage levels maybe grips round level 4 or so. But i would say that every gymnast is different and so gymnasts may like to use them just to help prevent rips

I got grips after I had gotten my kip and a freehip (really crummy freehip, but still. It improved once I got grips).
So like level 4 or 5? I'm not sure.

Level four; never seen a 3 with grips.

I got them after moving to Xcel. At the time, I had most of my level 6 skills, such as kips, freehips, flyaways, ect. At my gym most get them around level 4, but I've seen level 3 girls with grips before.

Most girls at my gym get them at Level 4. There have been some girls in the past who have gotten them at level 3, due to conditions that made their hands and feet perspire more than normal. Those girls also generally had beam shoes as well.

Most girls here get it at the equivalent of levels 4-6 on bars i would say
