How many people have been paralyzed from gymastic accidents?

I remember years ago reading in the paper about a girl I went to school with - we had been in the school trampoline club together and she was very talented and had gone on to do competitive trampolining - she had an accident during trampolining practice and became paraplegic. She then went on to become a competitive paraplegic athlete.
