Gymnastics for grown-ups

Thanks for posting! I absolutely love my adult gymnastics class and I can't imagine my life without it! I'm only 20 and I love knowing I can continue this as long as I want :]

My advice for anyone who wants to do this is to call around at local gyms and ask if they have an adult class or would consider starting one. Some gyms might have one even though it's not obvious on their website, and if they don't have one, maybe you asking about it will plant a seed in their brains :] My last piece of advice is to not be intimidated by all the kids. I'm sure they do giggle a little, but I know they also understand the struggles to get beginning skills. Everyone starts at the bottom!

I'm 42 and I would simply die without adult gymnastics. I coach at the gym where I take classes and we simply have a blast. It's so much fun. The crazy younger guys usually do parkour and insane tumbling and us gals tend to move between tumbling, bars, and climbing the aerial silks.

I would love to try doing an adults gymnastics class. But our gym does not offer it. And with my neurological disease I dont believe they would let me anyway. Even though my arms are very strong I can not always depend on them to work the way they should. I have alot of admeration for adults who take on this sport
