Women Heading to Regionals!

So my L8 DD had state meet last weekend and after 4 years of disappointing state meets, finishing about in the middle (or sometimes lower half) and after 4 years of me saying "Next year will be your year," dd finally broke the streak! AA champ for her age group and made State Team!
Any other optionals out there done with State meets? Hope it went well, and if it didn't, then I hope next year will be your dd's year!

Congrats to your dd. My dd level 8 road ended at States and it was rough but she is in a tough age group and tough region and had an off day.

Congratulations! No 8s from our gym this year. We only had one but our level 9 and 10 qualified.

Just had state! I can't make regionals till next year as a specialist, but I can't wait! At our gym when you make regionals not only do you get the stuff that you get at state, but at the banquet you get a necklace saying what year you went and every year you go they add it to it.

Way to go! She must be over the moon! My level 8 DD had her state meet a few weeks ago. She didn't do badly (no falls), but just doesn't have all the skills she "should have." Another year at level 8 next year and I do hope it is "her year." Your story gives me hope!

Yes, we had our level 8 State Meet and thankfully, both of my girl's made Regionals. Thank goodness they both made it and both got that coveted red sweatshirt.

So glad she made it to Regionals. My DD did awful her 1st yr L8 at State. She was so focused on that 34AA she psyched herself out. This year she made it as well. So I can understand how elated you both are. Congrats.

Mine just scored out of 8 to move to 9 and focus on next year. I am a little bummed that they chose not to do regionals with her this year. It would have been exciting, but I trust in my coaches and believe that they have her best interest in mind. Good luck to all the level 8 regional competitors, they will have a great experience!!

Dd made state team also when she was an 8, congrats to your dd! It is really a proud moment.
