Talknastics

Hi. I coach a level 6 gymnast for free. I used to coach the mom when she was an elite gymnast and I was an elite coach. Even though the daughter goes to a reputable gym, the mom notes that things are not up to the standards we are used to. Hence she enlisted me to help fill in some of the gaps. She offered to pay me but I said it would be like therapy for me so I insisted on doing it at no charge. Its working out well and the daughter in less than two months has learned many skills that she had been struggling with for over a year.

That is very kind of you to offer your coaching skills for free! Sounds like it is working out well. I suppose you and the mom have higher standards from being elites :)

Welcome to chalkbucket! Always neat to see elite coaches and gymnasts on here :)

Welcome and Wow you've done really well, to be as young as you say you are in the membership pages and to have been an Eiite Coach of someone who is old enough to have a L6 child! Just incredible. I have never heard of a 20 year old elite coach EVER!

How does that work with the childs gym? I cannot imagine any coaches being happy with having their team member being coached by an outsider who thinks their work is way superior to theirs.

Where are you allowed to coach this child for free? I know lots of club owners, but none would let you come and coach without credentials and insurance.

Just WOW!

Also there have been an amazing number of new members from your area in the last few days, are there a lot of gyms there?

Where exactly do you coach her? I mean, it sounds like this training is not taking place at her gym, so where is she training with you?

Ah Geoffrey it is entirely possible you understand to be coaching with a minimum of space and equipment if you are extremely well organised and bringing of a most productive mind to the equation. Afterall Larissa latynina herself used to be partaking of gymnastics condiditoning in a small shed perched at the end of her garden. Interestingly she was finding the shaking of the railroad nearby most beneficial to her muscle memory and indeed an early sort of spondolyokis machine. Early models of elite training can be replicated with little or no space much less equipment. I find my daughter most productive when I shut her in the closet to do chin ups on the rail at the top. She says the darkness is most soothing and the presence of spiders in the shoes amalgamating at the bottom more conducive to constant and continuous work than anything she has so experienced in the gymnastics training facilities.

I would be interested to know what particular moves talknastic has been teaching in such an environment as all coaching tips gratefully accepted.

*sigh* time to drop the charade.

Stretchsportsguy, we all know it's you.

I was going to give you a day or two to see where it went, but after further consideration I think it's safe to say that there would be no benefit to this.

One would think that after being banned twice, you'd have picked up on the fact that you're not welcome here, but evidently I have to spell it out bluntly for you:

Stretchsportsguy, you are not welcome here. No amount of ban evasion by means of alternate accounts will change that.

In short,

I gotta admit I laughed pretty hard at this.

Stretch must be thinking "Ya know...I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling CB mods!" LOL If we see a CB username of "Old Man Smithers", we will at least know guess who's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
