Hi there

I am a german coach and I am teaching kids gymnastics in Germany. I love to find engl. drills in the net and especially here.
Now my problem is: I don't know the name of this skill:

We call it a menicelli(menni): it more or less a fast back walkover , a mixtuer beween a standing back handspring and a balk walkover.

Any idea ?

Thx

YES !!!!!!

Thanks so much! I found it yeah !!!!

Sounds more like a gainer back to me - a BHS step out is nothing like a fast BWO

i think a bhs stepout is exactly like a fast backwalkover the same as a fhs stepout is like a fast front walkover maybe he/she just explained it wrong :)

We call it a minichilli in Quebec, definitely a back handspring step out.

you are right, it is not a back walkover. I just didn't know how to explain it otherwise. It starts like a back handspring and you and with separating your legs in the second half..
That's why I called it a mixture. I looked on you tube and the skill I was talking about is the Backhandspring Stepout :)

Thanks again for all your help.

I am with you now. If you lived in Britain you would call it a flick to one or a beam flick. Everyone has different names don't they quite interesting.

yes it is interesting in AUS we call them backflips not backhandsprings haha
