I'm a level 6 gymnnast and my mother wont let me train for the summer :( My coach told me to continue training and conditioning while im gone, so i really need suggestions to keep me motivated, you know, maybe some conditioning i could do, every answer is appreciated (: please help!

Our team has it's last course until Septemeber tonight. We have girls up to about L7 and most of them do no gym in summer. The way most of them stay in shape is to do other sports. Soccer, swimming, bilking etc.

Keep busy and active and you should be fine. I am sure your mother has her reasons for her decision and also that you know you can go back in Septemeber.

Make a list of the conditioning you do at gym, you can ask your coach for help here, and try to do that three timnes a week.

Our girls don't lose skills over the summer, they just don't learn new ones. You'll be fine.

ohhgosshh, sorry i meant level 2 interclub not 6, my keyboards messed :/

Ask your coach if they would be willing to put together a list of some conditioning things you can do at home. One year when I went on vacation for a week my coaches just told me to do lots of stretching, v-ups, and leg lifts lying on the floor and holding onto the bottom of the couch. I'm sure there are plenty of other simple but effective strength exercises you do at the gym regularly that you could continue to work on at home.
